Typhoon is coming to Asian market

AO Remdizel (JSC) is to participate in the land and naval arms exhibition “DEFEXPO INDIA – 2020” for the first time. The event will take place from 5 to 8 February in the city of Lucknow, the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The products of the company will be included in the joint exposition of AO Rosoboronexport (JSC). The RD brand is going to present a model of Typhoon K-53949 armoured vehicle at its partner’s stand. This vehicle is in the inventory of the Russian army and is extensively promoted to foreign markets. K-53949 is an armoured single compartment off-road vehicle with a 4х4 wheel configuration that is designed for the transportation of the crew and cargoes. The chassis has modifications with a medical module, for air assault and air defense units, with a turret and a weapon station. It is possible to mount an 82 mm 2C41 Drok mobile mortar and Kornet EM antitank missile system.
DEFEXPO INDIA is the largest exhibition of armament and military equipment for land and naval forces. It is held every two years supported by the Indian Ministry of Defense and the Confederation of Indian Industries. World exporters of arms are involved in the exhibition: their number is going to exceed 800 in 2020. The reason for this attention is that India is among the top five largest arms-importing countries in the world (according to the data from Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI)). The percentage of Russian arms is nearly 60% from those imported from India.
DEFEXPO-2020 will cover the full spectrum of aerospace, defense and national security interests. The key themes of the exhibition are: “India as a growing centre of defense industry” and "Digital Transformation of Defence".
